FIRST ^® Tech Challenge | Grades 7-12

First Tech Challenge (FTC for short) is a competitive robotics tournament that is open from 7th grade to high school. It runs from fall to spring and consists of multiple robotic tournaments along the way. The teams consist of up to around 15 people and the teams meet up with each other in the robotics meets. In competitions, teams team up with other teams and these teams are called alliances. Each match is made up of two alliances and the alliances have to see who can score the most points from completing tasks such as shooting rings into hoops or lifting a piece of something and attaching it to something else. Finally, FTC is just a great way to have fun and hang out with people you know while getting a better knowledge in mechanics and just problem solving in general.
